Consulting

I work across software, infrastructure, and applied AI. The kind of work I like is practical. The result should be visible. Lower cost. Fewer manual steps. Less operational drag.

What I do

Practical AI for SMEs

Figuring out where AI is actually useful in a small or medium-sized business. Internal tools, workflow automation, document extraction, support tooling, and small features that remove repetitive work without overcomplicating the business.

Web applications and internal tools

Laravel, WordPress, Livewire, modern PHP and JavaScript. New builds, hard features, rewrites that need restraint, existing systems that need senior hands, and internal tools built around how a business actually runs.

Infrastructure, DevOps, and system rescue

AWS architecture, multi-account setups, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containers, migrations, production hardening, and work on systems that are broken, fragile, or poorly understood. I trace the real constraint, explain it clearly, and either fix it or hand over a credible plan. I hold the AWS Solutions Architect Professional and DevOps Engineer Professional certifications.

If you have a pain point or bottleneck you want to explore solving, reach out.

How I work

The exact setup depends on the business and the problem. These are the common ways I tend to plug in.

One-on-one

I can work closely with you and take an idea to a minimum viable product. That can include product thinking, design, development, and what to do after launch to test whether there is actually a market.

Point person

I am good at translating between business context and technical execution. If you have domain experts or a team but do not want to manage the work closely yourself, I can help turn ideas into concrete steps and keep the work moving.

Integrate with a team

I can plug into an existing team and fill expertise gaps, especially in web development and the overlap between application and infrastructure work. Sometimes that means building directly. Sometimes it means review, diagnosis, or helping the team get unstuck.

In all cases, you work directly with me. I care more about useful outcomes than process for its own sake.

A bit about me

I am a Cloud Engineer at Human Made, working on Altis Cloud. Before this, I logged 6,000+ hours of client work across 29 engagements through Toptal. Most of my work sits at the intersection of software, infrastructure, and operations.

I write about the work on the DevOps section of this site. If you want to see how I think before reaching out, that is the best place to start.

Get in touch

I am open to projects where I can be genuinely useful.
